Dear Dog Friends:

Gingerbred Yukon Jack's Desiderio "Desi" was breed by Nona Dietrich and bought as a pet by Stephen and Patricia Lucas. Just days before he was to be neutered, Desi's destination changed when Patti sent a picture of him to Nona. Nona immediately alerted Patti of the fact that she thought Desi was definately a candidate for an AKC championship, thus the journey began. We meet Desi just after David Scheiris started showing him. Over the next few years we watched him develop into one of the top dogs in the country. In 2009 we bred our beloved Boo to Desi and in January our hopes for this breeding were realized. Five fantastic puppies joined Desi at the Havanese Nationals where he won the Breed. Just weeks later, he brought home the breed from the Canadian Nationals and became the first Havanese to win both National championships. Two of the puppies from that January litter, Adorabull's Mendota's Greek Legend and Adorabull's That's Dreaming of You, have both completed thier championship and brought home some fantastic wins. Following closely behind them are the other three puppies from that litter. We have repeated the breeding of this litter and are just as delighted with the results. Check out Desi's page and watch for the little Adorabull puppies sired by this wonderful dog.
It has been a true pleasure to watch and participate Desi's climb to the top and to share in the joy to Stephen and Patti Lucas.

Ch. That's my Adorabull Godiva

Godiva and her brother Roche are our first bred by Champions. Godiva is a true home girls. She is sweet and loving but also very alert. She makes sure that I know when there is a stranger in the house, rather it has two legs or four.
Godiva was born MAy 15, 2007. She finished her Championship in September, 2009. It was only our own circumstances that kept Godiva from finishing at a younger age. Okay, an my failure to control the abundance of coat she has.
Godiva has a special place with all of us. Jessica begged us to keep her, yet Godiva is definately more my dog. She is very much puppy and very insistant on getting what she wants. She doesn't want to be ignored and will mumble under her breath when she is. I often wonder what she really thinks.

Ch. That's Right Out of the Box.

Boo received her name because she was fearless and stunned us with her launches off of the couch and climbing to the highest spots possible. Her dare devil stunts scared us. She is a magical dog in everyway.
Boo was born on 9/25/04 to Ch. Sunberry's Pandora's Box and Ch. Yes Giorio Von Salzetal.
She too finished her championship at eleven months and taught me how it felt to win the breed at a speciality show.  She and Jessica share a bond like no other. They qualified in 2006 for Eukanuba and were only one win short of qualifying for Westminster. Boo is fantastic in everything she does including producing and raising wonderful puppies. Thus far she has produced five champions and several more are well on their way. She passed her Therapy dog test in 2007 and although she is not an active therapy dog, she exhibits this temperment everyday. She spend two days in bed with Jessica when she had surgery and keeps us company every night.

Ch. Sunerry's That is Adorabull

Bull is our first Havanese and a true ambasador to the breed. His playful loving temperment stole our hearts. He shares his enthusiasm for life with everyone he meets. Bull doesn't know a stranger.
Bull was born 7/ 17/2003 to Ch. Sunberry's Pandora's Box and Ch. Smedjarn's Wiktor. He finished his Championship at 11 months of age. He went on to teach several Juniors how to show. He and Jessica enjoyed a long stretch of shows her years in juniors. His health testing is great and he has his CHIC. Bull is the man of the house and does a great job keeping his pups in line. His two favorite places are the front seat of the car and in the middle of my bed.

Breeding

Breeding is something we do not approach carelessly. A dog is bred only after it has proven itself to be a canidate to contribute to the betterment of the Havanese breed. It must prove itself in the show ring, as a well tempered companion and through health screening. Mates are carefully chosen based on their strengths.and weaknesses in hopes that the offspring will reflect the strengths of both parents.
In every litter there are show dogs and those who just don't quite fit the bill. This does not mean that these puppies are less healthy or beautiful than any other, they simple don't meet all of the criteria for being show dog. It's not unusual for those puppies who do meet the criteria for show and do obtain their championship to still be less suitable for breeding. These dogs, puppies or adults are carefully placed as pets in loving homes where they will be a part of a family in every aspect that our dogs are.

Welcome to Adorabull Havanese

Adorabull Havanese began with a beautiful little black and white puppy, Sunberry's That's Adorabull "Bull". This little dog stole our hearts and introduced us to the passion of dog shows. The rest is history. Adorabull Havanese has multiple champions and most importantly, some very beautiful members of the family. We were blessed to have our first two Havanese, Ch. Sunberry's That's Adorabull " Bull"and Ch That's Right out of the Box "Boo" from David and Darlene Scheiris. Both finished their championships at eleven months of age. We had our first litter of Havanese puppies in May 2007 from  Boo and Ch Sunberry's That's Carnivale "Rio". From this litter came our first two bred by Champions, Ch. That's My Adorabull Godiva and Am. Can Ch. Adorabull's Thats Better than Sex "Roche". Roche earned his American and Canadian Championship at a very early age followed by Best in Sweeps at the Havanese Nationals and an award of Merit from Eukanuba both in 2008. Roche is well on his way to earning his Grand Championship. He is co-owned with David and Darlene Scheiris as well as his handler Fatima Crump.
